Ngotas Upendo Nursery School and Youth Centre was started in the year 1993 with an aim of assisting needy children of Mathare Huruma and Korogocho Slums. Our centre is located at Mathare valley, Mabatini Village, a long Juja Road behind Mathare chief’s camp Nairobi Kenya.There  are more than  150 children in the centre age between 5 years to 17 years.We have nine classes in our school from Baby class to class seven.The school is heading to class eight then to secondary school. The centre is operating under Jordan Friends Ministries and is a community based organization.

VISION STATEMENT
To raise a well skilled generation by providing Basic education and technical skills in order to be self-reliable.

MISSION  STATEMENT
Equipping young people for life and influencing change in society and creating a healthy and proper environment for the young generation.

THE MAIN OBJECTIVES
The main objectives are to train youths,men and women groups,rehabilitate and assist children from the poor families, orphans,vulnerable,destitute and street children,self help groups and relief food.
To establish or assist in the establishment of schools,orphanages,homes for aged and other educational centres.



ACHIEVEMENTS
There are more than 150 children in our school with classes from Baby class to class seven.
There are seven teachers, a cook and a guard in the school but everyone willing to volunteer and help is welcomed.
Thus the food program has been running with success since July 2011!
